All we can do is carry on shouting
2:30pm Friday 8th June 2012 in Letters
I FULLY endorse the comments made by Jan Mason commending the person who put road signs up.
I live on the same stretch of road, Ashworth Park, and it certainly appears to be used as a racetrack by motorists.
Even more frightening is that this is where small children ride their bicycles down the slope, often at speed, to go through the puddle in the dip when it has been raining.
Many residents want a 20mph speed limit, but years of lack of political will and now money mean it is still being just talked about.
The 30mph limit was introduced in 1934 and has not been changed since, in spite of the vastly-changed traffic conditions.
All we can do as Knutsford residents is carry on shouting and try ourselves to limit our speed even if there is a long line of traffic behind.
