Grants and donations have helped Knutsford Grow during the past year

KNUTSFORD Grow, the gardening charity for elderly and disabled in and around Knutsford, would like to thank the many organisations and businesses for their generous financial and in kind support during 2009 and already in 2010.

They include Cheshire Community Action, Knutsford Town Council, Knutsford Lions, Great Places Housing Group, Peaks and Plains Housing Trust, Waitrose Community Fund, Berry’s of Wilmslow, the Co-operative Community Fund and Manchester Airport Community Fund.

Their grants and donations have enabled us to buy tools and equipment to carry out our work in 41 gardens, clothing and safety boots for volunteers, office equipment running costs for a year, a Christmas meal for volunteers and an outing to Tatton Park for volunteers and beneficiaries to mark our 10th birthday in May 2009.

Volunteers provide vital assistance on the committee as well as in the gardens. Our work continues and volunteer groups now work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from February-December.

We always need practical, administrative and financial help and would welcome interest from local people and businesses. Please contact me on 07813 209613 for further information.
