MY faith in human nature has been restored.

The letters from Paul Thomson and Margaret Weltman superbly put the view held by the majority of thinking people that the Brexit process is a complete shambles and the ‘will of the people’ myth is indefensible.

They both have put together well thought out arguments without the sensationalist nonsense spouted by certain politicians.

The referendum was based on sound bites and it is now clear that with only months before we leave it is proving impossible to negotiate any form of sensible exit plan.

The damage to jobs, our security, air safety, patents etc is incalculable My wife and I are both in our 60s but for the first time we will be in London in October on the People’s Vote march together with tens of thousands of others.

Hopefully our political masters will finally wake up and put this Brexit process out of its misery.

Maybe our own MP who has been particularly silent on this issue could clarify her position and explain why she supports the clowns like Johnson, Davis and Fox who put us in this mess.

We live in a democracy. It is not too late to avoid this catastrophe and for the sake of our children and grandchildren’s futures stand up and be counted.
