I WAS appalled to read that Cheshire East Council is spending more than £152,000 on hiring consultants to change the reported bullying culture within the council.
How dare they!
Bullying is a sign of weakness.
In any organisation, the relationships between the the staff reflect the quality of the leadership.
Good leaders make staff feel valued.
I have had occasion in the past to work with CEC officers and, without exception have found them pleasant, hardworking and helpful.
I am incensed that my council tax is being used to run workshops to ‘establish a set of workplace behaviours’.
What is needed is a good shake up at the top along with a substantial helping of common sense.
