I REALLY enjoyed the Guardian’s live updates from the hearing in regards to the Chief Constable’s appeal against gross misconduct charges.
As well as serious factual reporting there was a sprinkling of humour during the breaks to help keep the reader engaged.
Nicely done.
However, after the hearing I heard John Dwyer, former PCC, asking David Keane to stand down.
This from the man who employed Simon Byrne the Chief Constable.
David Keane is the most honest, straightforward and totally transparent public servant you are ever likely to meet. He has Labour values running through his very being and ‘for the many not the few’ really does sum him up.
