PAUL Nuttall of UKIP is seemingly now a regular contributor to the Knutsford Guardian’s post bag and I notice is attracting critical replies in response (Opinion, January 4).

However, I think others need to consider the hard work, the sacrifices, the humiliation the man has had over the years in pursuing his goal of changing the colour of British passports from Eurocratic burgundy to blue, which is much more in line with our iconic flag of St George.

As we queue in the non-eu line at European airports waiting to get our visas checked before being allowed to begin our holidays, surely we can now allow ourselves a chuckle at all the foreign sheeple being rushed through security with their identical purple booklets.

I think those remoaners who continually question what tangible benefits Brexit will actually achieve should now pipe down.
