CRANFORD Avenue is an absolute nightmare but, in my ignorance, its solution seems simple.

Stanley Road is one way and Cranford Avenue also being one way is the starting point.

It is a narrow road but most properties have at least one car, so congestion is inevitable.

However, if parking bays were marked out on just one side (with the other having double yellow lines) and the parking bays be chevroned so as to get maximum usage from the space, I think this would allow sensible traffic flow as well as a good deal of parking space without parking on the pavements (illegally).

Speed bumps are obviously non- PC but a speed limit of 20mph for the relatively short distance of the road should keep things under control I feel.

I am not an expert in any shape or form but think consideration should be given to this proposal in principle.
