I AM writing in support of Piccolino. In place of a little-used ginnel the owners of this elegant Knutsford restaurant have created an attractive outdoor-dining area.
Piccolino is a very successful business and successful businesses are the lifeblood of our town. Their ‘Antrobus’ building, the birthplace of Sir Henry Holland, as recorded by the still clearly-visible blue plaque, is an asset to the street.
The building is well-maintained, its pavement area and frontage being regularly cleaned. The restaurant deserves recognition for the contribution it makes.
I therefore regret the decision of Knutsford Town Council to appeal against the decision made last March in Piccolino’s favour.
