BEING a diesel driver I am worried about the possible harmful gases released by my vehicle.

I am aware that London-style fees will not stop diesel usage, it will simply make businesses pass on the cost to customers – so is it another fake science story?

I think there is a technical practical solution. Diesels have ignition by compression; a more complete combustion will reduce the harmful gases omitted.

Replacing the glow plugs with spark plugs, using an electronic distribution system, and piggy backing the timing from the CPU, a double ignition can be achieved.

A qualified mechanic should be able to do this modification. And it should qualify for exemption from fees.
