IN his letter published in the Guardian under the heading ‘Esther Did Well’, Richard Coussons states that our new MP will be ‘totally committed’ to the constituency and will serve the people of Tatton well.

On May 27, in response to the pledges set out in her letter in her election leaflet, we emailed her to ask two simple questions about the employment rights set out in the first Tory manifesto (she has been a Minister for employment).

We received neither reply nor any acknowledgement.

On June 3, prompted by the leaflet from Theresa May, we again emailed Esther McVey, sending her a copy of the original email, and asked her if she could reply before election day.

Again we received neither acknowledgement nor reply.

Is this an example of the total commitment Mr Coussons says we can expect from our new MP?

I do hope not and I wonder if stimulated by this letter being published in the Guardian, Esther McVey MP could now please take the trouble to reply to us?
