IT’S patently clear that Mr Falder, Guardian February 2, is George Osborne’s biggest fan.

Well let me remind Mr Falder of Osborne’s appalling record as Chancellor - I say nothing about his record as our MP since he has achieved nothing for Tatton (long live Martin Bell, OBE).

In 2010 Osborne promised that he would eliminate the budget deficit by 2015.

In 2015 he promised that he would eliminate the budget deficit by 2020.

In 2016 he stated he could not now eliminate the budget deficit by 2020.

In six years as Chancellor, Osborne increased the public debt more than any UK chancellor in history.

He failed on every count so in July 2016 Theresa May rightly sacked him.

The hypocrisy of the man is staggering - when Osborne took office he blamed the global economic crisis on Labour, but now he blames the mess he has left on global instability.

Osborne repeatedly ignored corporate tax-dodging, ironically proclaiming a major victory by agreeing a deal to let Google pay a three per cent tax rate on their profits.

He was the man who lost the UK’s AAA credit rating.

Dare I mention Osborne’s infamous budgets? - “pasty tax”, “bedroom tax” tc.

During his time as Chancellor, workers suffered the longest sustained decline in wages since records began.

The list goes on...and I shan’t even mention his “Powerhouse”

nonsense.
