SEVERAL weeks ago the Guardian reported that representatives of Knutsford Town Council and MP George Osborne were going to meet with Cheshire East Council highways department.
The meeting was to discuss the section of the A50 that runs through north of Knutsford that has not been deregulated and is an accident blackspot.
I cannot find any reference to this meeting, nor can I find any outcome.
Do we assume there has been no meeting?
Do we have to assume the highways department will not accept responsibility for its lack of action?
Can we assume our MP’s activities abroad have prevented the meeting?
Are the council aware that in the past few weeks another exit has been reopened?
The opening on to the A50 recently described by your readers as scary to exit.
I sincerely hope that the council will be a little more transparent with its actions.
