REGARDING the plans for homes on Crown Estate land.

I live in Acacia Avenue and the need for affordable housing is key It needs to be at least 50 per cent, with a mix of tenure including shared ownership.

Our children won’t be able to afford to live here, so where will all future health professionals, teachers, Scout leaders, workers that the town needs to thrive live?

Not in Knutsford as they will be priced out!

This road is a rat run for those cutting through town. Drivers regularly roar up the road at 50 mph plus.

The queue from the A556 coming into Knutsford on Northwich Road every weekday morning stretches back up to the lights, if not half way back up to the roundabout.

I see this every day.

The whole plan needs full implementation with traffic, schools and transport.

It’s a lovely grand shiny plan provide housing but is it the type that is needed for residents and the community and local infrastructure?

I’d also like to know how 250 houses equals 1,000 jobs?

What sort of jobs for whom and for how long?

Without explanation it’s nothing other than PR fluff that sounds great but doesn’t really mean anything.

It would be great if somebody from the Crown Estate answered these questions.

They really need to engage with the local population across all communication platforms, as opposed to just holding a very brief short open day or two.

Talk to us!.

We won’t bite but we need answers.
