THANKS to the generosity of local people and visitors to the town the Knutsford Lions street collection on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 raised a fantastic total of £1,284.
In addition sealed appeal envelopes handed over during the two days contained £482.
These monies and the Gift Aid claimed will enable the Lions to fund the Christmas Day lunch for those who would otherwise be on their own and the senior citizens variety show to be held at the Methodist Church on Saturday, February 4, 2017.
All surplus monies and other Christmas Appeal donations will be used to help people in need over the coming months.
Anyone still wishing to make a donation can hand their sealed envelopes to a Lion member, or deliver them to the heritage centre or telephone 01565 631255.
Thanks, to everyone who made donations, and those who helped with the street collection and the delivery of envelopes, especially Knutsford Hosts, and Lion friends.
