A COUPLE of weeks ago, Gerald Norden complained that George Osborne doesn’t run constituency surgeries, and indeed that we hadn’t seen much of him recently, even though he is no longer Chancellor.
Last week, Mabel Taylor noted his new career giving speeches to American banks.
The day after Mr Norden’s letter was published, the national press reported that Mr Osborne had earned £320,000 from his American lectures during October.
Well, come on, who wants to bother with moaning constituents when you can earn a third of a million a month talking to your American chums?
