THE members of “Knutsford Promenades”should be congratulated for they have organised a fantastic community event in conjunction with National Heritage Open Days (September 8-11) for people who are interested in the history, architecture and people who lived in Knutsford.
More than 35 buildings/gardens are open for visitors.
They have created an excellent web site knusford promenades.co.
uk where all the buildings are listed and the events offered.
The crossing of the River Lily by people of all ages and occupations on the Saturday afternoon is included to celebrate Canute’s links – fact or legend – with the town and to generate fun.
