RHS Tatton 2016 has come to a successful close and, on behalf of the Knutsford Promenades, I would like to thank Bruntwood, the new headline sponsor of RHS Tatton, for using the event as a platform to publicise the many cultural projects that they support, including ours.

The show was a wonderful showcase for some of the great talent we’ve seen since the Promenades started in 2013.

Alongside the Royal Exchange Theatre and the Hallé Youth Orchestra, it was fantastic to see Brook Street Chapel, the marvellous Geoff Holman, John Smethurst and Steven Crawford, and Tony Davies, all perform in Bruntwood’s award-winning show garden, The Field Office.

It was an outstanding opportunity to promote Knutsford talent, Knutsford heritage, and of course, the Knutsford Heritage Open Days programme, which is this year’s Knutsford Promenades project, to the tens of thousands of people who flock to this premier event.

Knutsford is one of only two designated historic towns in Cheshire East and the visitor economy is vital for our town.

So thank you Bruntwood, for the great work you are doing to champion culture and the arts.

With the support of Bruntwood and our numerous sponsors and supporters, we’ve been able to create a Knutsford Heritage Open Days programme with more sites and events to visit – free – than Manchester!

The Heritage Open Day theme this year is ‘Treasure our Treasures’ and we hope that Knutsfordians and visitors embrace this wonderful, once-ayear opportunity to see all that Knutsford has to offer.
