I fail to see why Philip Griffiths from UKIP decided to write to the Knutsford Guardian saying how well Nigel Farage and UKIP have done in getting Britain to leave the EU.

Does he not realise the majority of Tatton constituents voted Remain and that a number of Leave voters already regret their decision?

Leave admitted the claim of £350m going to the EU each week was made up on the day of the referendum result, with the actual figure being around a third of that.

Mr Farage constantly blamed the EU for problems.

Yet as MEP (for which he got paid €96,000 a year) he was selected for the Fisheries Committee which had 20 committee meetings over three years.

Farage showed up for just one of those and consequently didn’t make the voice of the British fishing industry heard.

Instead he spent his time getting media attention blaming the EU for having a negative effect on our country.

Maybe Farage should donate his own money to the British fishing industry, given how much he was paid for a job he didn’t do most of the time?
