WE ARE getting closer to voting to stay in or leave the EU.

I am sure that there are many who are still undecided which way to vote.

May I remind you of some salient issues that have a significant impact on very many of us that live in the Knutsford area.

Ten years ago, 45 per cent of the population of Knutsford was over 65 years of age. We are all older now.

Let’s start thinking about the short to medium time period when we vote.

In the last parliament, the Treasury, having cut much of our social services, was evaluating the political impact of removal of the bus pass, the train card, fuel allowance, removal of TV licence.

What is it that government will further cut?

In the event that we leave, yes, we older people are vulnerable to the Treasury black holes analysis.

There is no uncertainty, the issue that the black hole of £36 billion in public finances will be taken from the older generation if we vote to leave the EU.
