THE letter columns of the Knutsford Guardian often address issues of health and what is needed in this area.
Each GP practice in Knutsford has a Patient Participation Group – PPG – that meets on a regular basis.
At Toft Road the PPG has been in existence for several years and offers the opportunity for registered patients to work together with the practice to ensure that the service provided continues to improve and standards are met.
Our next meeting will be on May 26 at 7pm at Toft Road Surgery and the following items will be discussed: 1) Three GP Knutsford surgeries could become one – so what next ?
2) A new GP contract by the CCG possibly for some extra services for Knutsford patients – what does this mean for you?
3) A deficit of nearly £40m by the East Cheshire Trust and CCG – will our services by affected?
4) How you can book appointments online – 24 /7 – get your results easily – usually minutes after being surveyed and commented on by the GP – order repeat prescriptions. Have a history of your medical records.
We now are able to have three or perhaps four new members to join us at the next meeting. If you are interested please email toftppg@ btinternet.com.
