THE old Conservative Club building in Knutsford is no longer a political or government building, it is a shop.
It is really nice to see a Union Flag flying anywhere but we should not require it over a particular commercial premise.
We may as well expect a Union Jack to fly from Aldis or Booths or Lloyds Bank, actually Lloyds being 80 per cent government owned could be more relevant.
I don’t see it as a reason for criticism and anyway I hear a Union Jack will be flown on special occasions anyway.
