Why are you getting such a bashing lately? You are the life-blood of Knutsford and without you, Knutsford would not enjoy a buoyant housing market nor be the popular, busy, lively town it is today. Having been a resident here for 25 years, I am delighted the shared space scheme for King Street has been shelved. Knutsford is a beautiful town with so much to offer visitors. Pease, let's keep it that way. King Street is just one part of Knutsford that needs an improved parking system for everybody but nothing as radical as a bland "shared space scheme".
A perfect example of this can be seen in my home town of Altrincham. George Street on a Saturday morning used to be absolutely full of cars and hundreds of shoppers. Today, George Street, after years of being pedestrianised, is deserted. I'd hate to see that happen to Knutsford.
