I READ Dr Paul Bowen`s comments on health provision service in Eastern Cheshire, with specific reference to Macclesfield.
However things seem a little different in Knutsford where last Thursday the waiting time to see a named GP was two weeks, and a week for a normal appointment For someone who remembers the halcyon days of same day appointments and GP home visits these waiting times seem somewhat long.
Furthermore in last week`s Knutsford Guardian the Eastern Cheshire Clinical Commissioning group ran a half page information sheet, Choose Well to Get Well detailing health services, and Congleton War Memorial hospital was listed for those needing minor injuries treatment.
Seemingly however Knutsford patients are quite often referred for minor injuries treatment to the units at the Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Altrincham General Hospital, so why were those facilities, which are far more convenient for Knutsford patients not listed?
