THE planning proposal made by Cheshire East Borough Council, Knutsford Guardian, September 9, to prohibit parking along Church Walk in Knutsford 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to ensure that United Utilities have access to the Knutsford Pumping Station across the Moor seems to me to be a bit excessive.
As far as I am aware there is currently no restriction to vehicular access along this section of road despite the cars that park alongside the Moor.
So why is it proposed to apply a blanket ban on all parking at all times of the day and on every day of the year?
Even United Utilities have told me that they are not aware of any issues with gaining access to the pumps so what is the agenda here?
