MY thoughts for suggestions concerning the red telephone boxes in Holmes Chapel.
As a local resident and an active member of Cheshire Search & Rescue, I can see a great use for these national icons for the village.
I do believe it has been done elsewhere but nonetheless I feel that these telephone boxes could have placed within them lifesaving defibrillators and associated lifesaving equipment.
It would be a very fitting use to what was once an important part of life — and what better use for the community could there be?
