ACCORDING to reports, two candidates competing to represent Nether Ward, Julie Tempest Independent and James Power Conservative received the same 650 votes.
In order to choose who would represent their ward they drew lots and James Power was declared to be the winner.
This may be accepted practice but it does not seem to me to be very democratic, and possibly someone can explain why a re-election for councillors to represent Nether ward is not being held.
