I FOUND it incredible the selling of council housing to raise revenue in Mr Cameron’s latest ‘bribe – if you elect me’ etc is a seriously considered statement.
Where are displaced council tenants going to go, a new prefab project?
Nothing in the Conservative ‘promises’ is going to solve the housing shortage, at this time, nor address the further unaudited need for the housing requirements of those hundreds of thousands per year, entitled to immigrate while the UK is subject to EU rulings.
The ‘right to buy’ will not produce a single brick for a new house.
What appears to be completely ignored is the greed of the private landlord industry, but this would be a sensitive area to be recognised by the Conservative party.
