I DESPAIR of the powers that be who allow a state of affairs that results in the clogging-up of hospital wards.
They have nowhere to discharge their patients for recuperation or respite, when they have closed, or sold, the facilities we once had, eg Cottage Hospital, Bexton Court, where the patients could have been sent to free up hospital beds.
There is no place for people with mental problems such as learning difficulties, Alzheimer’s etc.
People help in their own town or area.
In the Knutsford Plan I hope the essential needs for the most vulnerable and their health requirements will take priority over the accessibility of cars, parking and pedestrian access that seem to be of main concern at present.
It is not surprising that we have nowhere locally to care for our vulnerable residents when all the places we did have have been closed.
We need action, not words, from future councillors, planners, etc.
B Moss Knutsford
