IT WAS an honour to pay my respects at the funeral of former Knutsford mayor Wilson Hamman’s who sadly died recently.

The funeral was very well attended – RIP Wilson.

A massive thank you to everyone who entered the fun quiz we held last week.

It felt like the whole of Knutsford was squeezed in!

A good time was had by all and we raised £430 for the charity and good cause fund that I have been working towards.

I would also like to pass on my thanks too to the volunteers, including some Knutsford hosts, who braved the weather at Makers’ Market to sell charity grand draw tickets.

I must not forget the many local businesses who have given some amazing prizes.

Didn’t get your ticket yet? Don’t despair as they are being sold at the heritage centre.

Knutsford Talking Newspaper, which provides a spoken copy of this newspaper to residents with failing sight or perhaps a hand which is a bit too shaky to hold things, thinks there are people around who have not heard of its free service.
