I WAS sorry to hear about the death of Wilson Hamman.
Wilson and I were on the town council and Macclesfield borough council together.
I got to know Wilson very well when we travelled together to meetings at Macclesfield. He always made the journeys interesting with his knowledge of the railways and Knutsford and he will be missed for his gentlemanly ways.
He was a charming man and would endeavour to make his opinions known even if controversial.
