I HAVE just read your item about Curzon cinema parking in Knutsford. I thought that my experience of Macclesfield hospital may be interesting.
I opened my mail yesterday and found a £70 parking fine.
I took my 84-year-old neighbour to an ophthalmic appointment at beginning of February and as I use the hospital car park regularly, I didn’t read the parking notices.
We parked in a disabled space and displayed her parking permit on the windscreen.
I helped my neighbour into the department that she had to attend and waited patiently for her return.
After her appointment we went home, blissfully unaware of what was coming my way.
I think it is disgraceful how this company and Macclesfield hospital have behaved and I suspect a lot of people will fall foul of this situation so please warn the public.
