THE current trend of house building in Cheshire and all the upheaval and inconvenience is a travesty of justice.

The government's policy is the most stupid imaginable.

The famous Jodrell Bank telescope, the world's leader in space technology and co-ordinator, is being affected by the house building surrounding its site, which is typical of this country's lack of world understanding of its prestige.

It must be safe-guarded.

Local residents are finding it difficult obtaining a doctor's appointment at its over-burdened health clinic and over-crowding, traffic, lack of schools and shops can not accommodate more residents.

History teaches the future and in 1940 Britain was within two months of starvation which never should be forgotten.

What we require is food not bricks and cement. Let us heed this warning before it is too late!
