TO the woman in the blue Audi on Bexton Lane, you must be very important.
What was so urgent that you chose at 8.07am on Monday morning to drive at speed, on the wrong side of the road outside Bexton School?
My car was stopped at the crossing to let a school child cross the road. You were too important to pull up behind my car, choosing to overtake it and drive at speed on the wrong side of the road over a crossing where cars were stopped while a child crossed.
The child was two steps from the middle, two paces from stepping into the path of your speeding car driving the wrong way, which would be unexpected to a child. I sounded my horn to alert the child and you. Thankfully you both stopped.
You looked straight ahead; no apology. You then raced ahead so fast I did not catch your numberplate. I hope you find it hard to sleep tonight.
What was so urgent that you thought that was OK behaviour?
