ON NOVEMBER 7, there are only six months until the General Election.

More than 76 people in the Cheshire East Council area, over the past few months have campaigned for the government to crack down on tax dodging by large multinational companies that cost the UK and poor countries billions.

According to a poll last year, 84 per cent of the UK public are angry about these companies avoiding tax.

As part of Action Aid’s Town Against Tax Dodging campaign, I am calling on local politicians and political parties to make a commitment to tackle tax dodging ahead of the next election.
