CHRISTMAS is coming and more passengers will be left behind at stations on the mid-Cheshire line, as hoards of shoppers head for the shops in Manchester.
No doubt many will be left behind, as happened last year.
As always it’s the mums with toddlers and buggies, and the less able bodied who are unable to board, and are left behind.
No doubt MCRUA and the community rail partners are making noises.
But - due to the region suffering from national political decisions regarding new rolling stock meaning that there won’t be any – improvement is unlikely.
Forget HS and other glamour projects, desirable as they may be, they are jam tomorrow.
We need improvements now, and the political will to see to it.
