So Mr Osbourne wishes to freeze working age benefits at £100 billion.
What George constantly fails to mention is that this figure includes the working tax credit paid to hard working families in Knutsford on low-waged jobs, in order to allow them to pay the bills and which have gone up at a far faster rate than wages.
What George also fails to mention is that if all individuals and companies paid the tax, this would raise more than any changes to benefit payments.
