WHILE showing my daughter-in-law and her two sons the flower displays around the town on July 27, we stopped to look at the King Canute Collage between RS McColls and the Old Sessions House, admiring the beautiful hanging baskets of the latter.
I was shocked and dismayed when suddenly a beautiful, open-topped sports car decided to reverse park right next to the Sessions House.
On seeing the look of consternation on my face as his car backed to within two feet of my four-year-old grandson, the driver smilingly assured me, ‘It’s alright, I can see him’.
That is not the point dear sir, we did not see, hear, or expect you to be on what we believed to be a pedestrian area.
There are plenty of parking spaces in Knutsford, why not park there? I noticed a Bentley was parked on double yellow lines as we continued on our way, still shaken.
Please don’t let Knutsford become another ‘crazy town’ as my other grandchildren call Hale, because of drivers’ seemingly complete disregard of sense and safety when parking cars in town.
