OVER the past couple of years, thanks to traders like Pete Murray and others, the town centre has been greatly improved.
The town has been decorated with pavement planters, displays on the roundabout and has a new super children’s playground on the Moor.
With all its leisure facilities, sparkling shops and general atmosphere of ‘we are a wonderful place to come to live in, work in and visit’.
Sadly this is being marred by some local business people who insist on parking their cars on local treasures, such as King Canute’s pebble display or blocking footways, i.e. Cotton Shop Yard.
By doing this these folk work directly against their own customers and the town’s interest.
