It was interesting to read about the Ministry of Justice’s proposal to shut the town’s court building, known by all as the Sessions House, (Guardian, July 2).
It was alarming to read that it has not been used for a considerable amount of time, yet I can only think of it being turned into flats in the future.
I suppose that idea is better than a restaurant or a bar, or dare I say it a night club that would open into the early hours. However, I’m sure developers will be sniffing around as soon as the consultation is over.
