THE proposed six-week long Mistletoe Market on Knutsford Heath is unbelievable.

We believe the 100 cabins charged £90 daily would be a dream for Tatton Estate Management and Living World Events!

However, for the residents overlooking The Heath and the shopkeepers in this small, charming, thriving little town it would be their worst nightmare.

We live 10 miles away and have no business interests, so cannot be accused of being a ‘not in my back yard complainer’.

We do, however, see the financial ruin to Knutsford businesses this event would bring.

As regular customers in many of the shops, where good old-fashioned kindness, efficiency, and friendly helpfulness still exists in bucket loads, it would be heartbreaking to see other shops close their doors.

Hopefully those responsible for making decisions will see a small town like Knutsford cannot survive a six-week invasion of outsiders stealing their business.

We wholeheartedly support Sarah Ganczarski’s petition against this market.

As dog owners ourselves, another group of locals who will suffer are all the hundreds of dog walkers who are out on the common at all hours in all weathers with their beloved dogs.

Everyone who loves the uniqueness and pleasure of shopping and dining in Knutsford hopefully will support Sarah.
