I WOULD like to thank the gentleman who helped me with my car problem in Booth’s car park on Saturday morning, January 25.

As I returned to my car, the man pointed out to me that my front offside tyre was flat. It had been pierced by a large nail.

I am aged 81 and could not have dealt with the situation myself.

I was anxious to get home as I needed to go out again to visit my husband who has recently been admitted to a care home.

Without waiting to be asked, the gentleman got the spare tyre out of the boot, very efficiently removed the damaged tyre and replaced it with the spare one.

My family join me with expressing their sincere thanks for his help. It would be nice for them to meet him and say thank you in person.
