THE Secretary of State will now decide if BeWILDerwood is to be built in Tatton Park.
That is after Cheshire East’s strategic planning board decided to give it the green light this week.
A lot of work has gone in – from both sides of the argument – in the past two years and the work of both should be applauded.
The £5million loan to Bure Valley Ltd is certainly a contentious point, as is the increase in traffic that will no doubt occur when the adventure playground is launched.
Knutsfordians will have to bear the brunt of both of those matters.
KNUTSFORD will get a new housing estate in the near future.
At the same planning meeting on Wednesday, councillors rubber-stamped the plans for 200 homes on land north of Parkgate.
The Tatton Estate will now look to get the estate built as soon as possible after it convinced officers that access to the site would not be a problem.
The town clearly needs new housing and with this site already having permission for industrial use, it was a bit of a no-brainer for the council to convert it to residential use.
