THE application for BeWILDerwood to create a new adventure playground in Tatton Park has certainly caught the attention of the taxpayer.

Plans submitted by Bure Valley are due to be discussed at a Cheshire East Council planning meeting next week.

But it was surprising to hear Knutsford Town Council did not want to put forward its thoughts on the latest amended plans.

The Guardian can understand someone not wanting to comment if they don’t feel they have the technical expertise, but surely a council should say something?

Especially when it is a development of this scale.

We doubt Mobberley Parish Council have the ‘planning expertise’ to comment, yet that authority has done so.

Why not Knutsford Town Council?

The Northern Rail Hub will hopefully improve our area’s chances of having a better rail service.

But before that happens the efforts of the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Association and the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership have to be applauded.

It is all fair and good moaning about our train service, but it is good to know we have got someone fighting our corner.
