Jennifer Garner has admitted that having a third child put her "right over the edge".

The Alias actress and her husband Ben Affleck welcomed son Samuel in February, a sibling for their daughters Violet, six, and Seraphina, three, and Jen confessed it was hard to adjust to having a bigger brood, reports Us Weekly.

She told US chat show host Conan O'Brien: "We wanted a third and we had a third, and I wouldn't trade him for anything. But, you know how two feels like six? Three just put me right over the edge."

The 40-year-old joked that after Samuel's birth she was going up to people in the street and asking for some help, saying: "Would you please come work at my house? Would you please come help me? Just take a child. Do something."

Jennifer, who married Ben in 2005, has recently said Samuel will be the couple's last child.

Last month the Juno star told The Ellen DeGeneres Show: "No... I plan to be done. "

But she joked: "But my husband is kind of a 'wonder sperm' kind of guy."
