Daniel Craig skimpy blue trunks from Casino Royale are going under the hammer
The blue trunks worn by Daniel Craig as he emerged from the sea in Casino Royale are expected to sell for thousands of pounds in a charity auction.
They are going under the hammer next month as part of a series of events to mark the 50th anniversary of the World premiere of Dr No in London.
The Casino Royale scene was inspired by the moment Ursula Andress appeared from the waves in Dr No in a white bikini.
The trunks are expected to sell for up to £5,000 at the auction at Christie's South Kensington on Friday October 5.
Also for sale is one of 007's trademark Aston Martin sports cars, tarot cards used by Jane Seymour's character Solitaire in Live And Let Die and a belt with a golden bullet buckle worn by Christopher Lee as Scaramanga in The Man With The Golden Gun.
The car, a 2008 Aston Martin 6 Litre V12 DBS 2-Door Coupe which appeared in the opening scenes of Quantum of Solace, is expected to fetch between £100,000 and £150,000.
All the proceeds from that lot will go to the charity Barnardo's.
Auction house director Nicolette Tomkinson said: "Christie's is excited to be working directly with EON Productions to present this unique auction to mark the 50th anniversary of James Bond.
"With memorabilia offered from every official Bond film ever made, the auction is sure to appeal to new and established fans of the famous British spy."
Other charities to benefit from the auction include Unicef and The National Youth Theatre.
