Tom Felton has revealed his Murder In The First character may not be the villain he first appears to be.
The Harry Potter star plays young tech billionaire Erich Blunt in TNT's highly anticipated new crime drama, from creator of Murder One Steven Bochco.
Tom said: "It's a classic, 10 episode [series], twists and turns the whole way.
"My character Erich Blunt, in the pilot he's pitched as somewhat villainous but misunderstood is how I'd rather pitch it.
"He's a highly intelligent, fiercely technical, whizz kid of the new generation.
"And he's in the centre of a very high profile murder case, so it makes for a very interesting series."
The 26-year-old British actor is famous for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, and plays an odious, greedy nobleman in new big screen costume drama Belle.
Tom admitted it's good to play the villain.
He said: " It's great because they're volatile . They could be talking to you now, and then hear something to make them switch and go into another direction.
"So it's a lot of fun to shock yourself and shock other people with your reaction . I enjoy that."
:: Belle is released in cinemas on June 13.
