JJ Abrams has hinted that the Millennium Falcon could appear in Star Wars: Episode VII with a cryptic clue.
The usually secretive filmmaker, who is directing the highly-anticipated seventh instalment in the sci-fi franchise, sparked speculation about Han Solo's ship after he shared a photo of a note on Twitter.
"I wish people would stop leaking photos from Episode VII. And making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie," he wrote on a headed notecard, and signed JJ.
While, at first glance, the message appears to dismiss the claims that the ship would feature in the upcoming film, eagle-eyed film fans will spot that the note was pinned on the Dejarik table from Han's aircraft.
The hologram game board hosted the famous match between R2D2 and Chewbacca in Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope back in 1977, which was the first film in the franchise.
Production on Episode VII has begun in London, with the film is scheduled for release in December 2015.
Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford - the stars of the first Star Wars trilogy of movies - will be joined by newcomers Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, John Boyega and Domhnall Gleeson.
Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o and Game Of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie have been added to the cast.
"I can finally say it out loud and proud: I'm going to a galaxy far far away!" tweeted Lupita.
