Radcliffe: I had doubts over body

Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he had a slight attack of body anxiety when he watched the sex scenes in Kill Your Darlings.

The Harry Potter star, who plays Beat Generation writer Allen Ginsberg, admitted he was quite relaxed about doing the full-frontal nudity scenes but panicked a bit when he watched them back.

"I remember thinking at the time, 'I'm in quite good nick'. And then I saw the scene and thought, 'Oh Jesus, I look like a whippet'," he said.

"I was not in any way lean - but I guess it would have been inappropriate for Allen Ginsberg to look like he'd been going to the gym."

Daniel, who previously stripped off in the play Equus, said he now wants to avoid getting naked, although he does bare all in his next two films, Horns and The F-Word.

"It was the only thing I said no to, but I saw the Guardian wrote a whole thesis on the nudity comment," he said.

The 24-year-old has remained steadily busy since the Harry Potter film franchise came to an end in 2011. He made his Broadway debut in the musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, followed by the big screen horror The Woman In Black and the first series of A Young Doctor's Notebook in 2012. He also starred in Martin McDonagh's West End play The Cripple Of Inishmaan.

But he said he enjoys keeping busy.

"Everyone said to me, 'Aren't you tired?'. But I wasn't really. I only get tired if I'm bored. If I stop getting stimulated I shut down, I'm like a dog in that way," he added.
