Joey Essex was in for a surprise in the jungle - when he discovered that stick insects look like sticks.

The reality TV star, 23, could not believe his eyes and thought that the creature was a spider when he came across one for the first time during a jungle challenge.

Joey, who has previously stunned I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! viewers by saying that he does not know how to blow his nose or read the time, came face to face with the stick insects during the Dingo Dollar Challenge.

"I've never seen one of those in my life, it actually looks like a stick, it's a ringer if you compared it to some sticks, you'd never tell the difference," he told Olympic star Rebecca Adlington.

"It is a stick with legs that moves and now I've seen two of them it's like stick insect city here."

Meanwhile, Alfonso Ribeiro finally performed the Carlton Dance - which he made famous in hit 1990s sitcom Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air - after previously vowing that there "will be no dance until I am voted out".

The 42-year-old burst into action after getting a pep talk from fashion designer David Emanuel.

A miserable Alfonso, who wanted to return home, had complained: "I feel that this show has taken my spark away, it has been more difficult than anything I've ever had to do in my life and it was starting to literally kill me."

David told him: "When I met you I thought you were a fabulous, larger than life character and really funny but now that guy has gone.... if that's what you want then go, no-one is stopping you....You are just sitting here not taking part but reaping the benefits... buck up a bit....you don't want to go down in history as boring."

Alfonso proceeded to teach Rebecca the Carlton Dance, with Joey, David and dancer Vincent Simone joining in.

A delighted Rebecca said: "Today was finally the day we got to see and learn the Carlton Dance. I've been dying to learn it but he wanted to save it. He changed his mind today.... What was even better was I got to see Alfonso doing it, which is what I really wanted.

"I wanted to have that lovely flashback and memories of it growing up. Just amazing, it made my day."
