Peter Kay is swapping stand-up for sit down - by undertaking a Comic Relief challenge from the comfort of his sofa.
The funnyman has been travelling in his seat from Belfast and is to arrive in London during the Red Nose Day broadcast being screened by BBC One and BBC Two on Friday evening.
He has also recorded a new version of the video to the James hit single Sit Down, with the group's lead singer Tim Booth. It follows a previous Comic Relief promo he recorded for Tony Christie's Is This The Way To Amarillo.
A spokeswoman for the charity joked: "Having undertaken a rigorous training regime to prepare for the challenge, Peter will not only have to endure the physical strain put on his body, but be mentally psyched up to withstand days of sitting down for the Comic Relief sketch."
